Research funding support

Our experts support EdTech companies to seek grants and funding from public and private sources. For not-for-profit organizations and those whose values and mission resonate with ours, we can offer our assistance for free.

Our expertise can guide you in shaping your innovation into a compelling proposal that appeals to both venture capitalists and philanthropic funders.

We understand that the current funding landscape tends to prioritize scale over impact, leaving EdTech organizations wanting to engage in research but lacking the necessary funds. However, we've also witnessed how even modest grants can catalyze significant impact and unlock further funding opportunities from philanthropic organizations and national research councils. We are here to help.

Subsidies and VC funding

Over the years, we have cultivated close relationships with leading venture capitalists (VCs), which has provided us with valuable insights into their diverse priorities. Our expertise allows us to assist you in preparing and reviewing your pitch deck, ensuring it aligns with the specific expectations of VCs and impact investors. Additionally, we can offer guidance on how to approach and identify the most suitable contacts within the VC and impact investment community for your solution.

Note that our network primarily consists of funders interested in educational return on investment and those dedicated to social and learning impact.

Through our partnership with the Jacobs Foundation, we can offer research co-funding on selected projects. This applies to companies that have been funded by the following VCs: Owl Ventures, New Markets Venture Partners, Reach Capital, Rethink Capital, EduCapital, Learn Capital, Sparkmind, and Brighteye .

In-kind contributions

We are privileged to collaborate with numerous academics and researchers who share our vision of fostering academia-industry partnerships to enhance research-based EdTech solutions for children. Within our network, many researchers generously offer pro bono support to organizations that align with their research interests.

Through our unique matching system, we facilitate the pairing of domain experts with innovative projects, thereby catalyzing successful partnerships. These collaborations not only result in deeper engagement with companies but also amplify the impact of the research conducted.

Grants

For larger-scale research projects, such as implementation studies, large-scale experiments, and replication studies, we highly recommend edtech organizations to pursue grants. These grants can be sourced from research councils, innovation offices within your country, or philanthropic organizations. Our team of researchers stands ready to assist you in developing a robust grant application. While we can be listed as a research partner, it is not a requirement. Our strength lies in our extensive global network of researchers and our expertise in securing grants from major research councils in Europe and the USA, as well as leading philanthropic organizations. By leveraging this network, we ensure that companies seeking grants collaborate with top-tier researchers tailored to their specific project needs.
